Good morning and happy Friday friends! How was your week? For the most part our week was pretty low key, however, we did finish watching Sons of Anarchy (SOA) which was an amazing series and had a crazy ending that left me white knuckling the couch at the end of every episode.
While I’m sad that SOA is over I’m also excited for a TV break. There are a few books I have on my nightstand that I have been dying to dive into.
Every Friday I share a small list of things that have been putting a smile on my face. Let me know in the comments below what you’re loving this week!
Friday Favorites #35
Maternity clothes are so darn expensive, especially dresses! So when I found this dress on Amazon (see it here) for just $24.99, 5 stars, and a boatload of patterns I knew I had to have it! Now we just need some warm weather so I can break this baby out! For those wondering, this pattern is the Floral Cherry Mocha.
Yesterday I posted my recipe for some DELICIOUS almond pulp cookies. I have been eating them all week and just ran out on Thursday; so sad. So if you love to make nut milk but are never sure what to do with the leftover pulp, I HIGHLY encourage you to try these lower carb, gluten free, dairy free, Almond Pulp Chocolate Chip Cookies.
I think it’s so amazing how a woman’s body transforms during pregnancy and I am fascinated by all the little changes going on in this second trimester, like a very faint linea nigra (the dark line that runs down the center of your belly). So cool! If you missed my 13-20 week pregnancy update, check it out here.
Earth Animal Flea and Tick
I have been on the hunt for a natural flea and tick prevention for Jett. I hate the idea of the topical pesticide treatments and the oral chews (like nexgard) because of how toxic they are. So when my local feed store started carrying this brand (by a supposed overwhelming amount of customer demands/requests) I figured it was worth a shot! The powder is made from herbs and spices that repel ticks and fleas (like alfalfa, garlic, and spirulina to name a few). Ticks and fleas, when sniffing out blood, will avoid blood that smells like these herbs.
I also picked up the topical, essential oil spray, that will act as a second line of defense against these persistent buggers. I’m excited to see how it works, especially since so many customers were requesting it!
