Happy Friday Ya’ll! I can’t tell you how good it feels to be back on here with you! I didn’t realize how much I loved (and needed) my routine until I didn’t have it anymore. While I haven’t mastered this new schedule – the one with a newborn in toe – I am really settling into it. Every day gets easier and everyday I feel more confident in my new routine.
This morning started out with a super easy breakfast that I prepped last night. I mixed all the “oat”meal ingredients together, poured it into a mason jar, and placed in the refrigerator. When I woke up this morning I heated it up in a saucepan and served warm within 5 minutes. Breakfasts like these are a lifesaver when you have a newborn! If you haven’t tried it yet, get on it! You need my Oatless Oatmeal recipe in your life!
Now that I just went on about my breakfast way longer than I should have, let’s get into this week’s Friday Favorites! It’s been a while!
Pulling Out my Non-Maternity Clothes
While most days I live in nothing but leggings and cut-up tee, with easy boob access (breastfeeding mama’s where you at?!), it did feel pretty amazing to pull out my non-maternity clothes from storage. And by storeage I mean the tucked away part of my closet.
Between being #snacktrapped and #naptrapped for 70% of my waking hours I figured this is the perfect opportunity to bang out some much overdue reading! I have this horrible habit of getting ahead of myself when it comes to buying books. Before I know it I have 10 new books on my bookshelf that I haven’t even cracked open yet while I’m placing an amazon order for 10 more. Is anyone else like this?
Just as I was about to place an amazon order for 2 more books I had to stop myself. I went downstairs and picked up this book. I ordered this YEARS ago and have been dying to read it but just haven’t.
So far I am LOVING this book! It’s written by Michael F Holock, Ph.D., M.D., the man who has devoted his life learnings to vitamin D. It is very well written and is PACKED with mind-blowing information about Vitamin D. If you haven’t read this book already, then you need to add it to your collection, especially if you have an autoimmune disease.
Jetts Love for Miles
When we first brought Miles home it was like our 3 year old dog aged 10 years. He wasn’t that spazstic doodle giving ZERO personal space. He was a super chill, personal-space-giving, Cesar Millan dog. He loves to nap next to Miles and kiss his toes when he cries. It is the sweetest!
Baby Nest from Etsy
I can’t rave about this baby nest enough! It’s the handmade, toxin-free version of a doc-a-tot! The woman who makes it, Samantha, does beautiful work and is always putting out new patterns and colors. Check out her Etsy shop if you’re in the market for a non-toxic doc-a-tot!
