Nothing says summer quite like a juicy burger off the grill. And since summer is coming to an end, I feel myself clinging to every last drop of it. A hamburger salad is a fresh twist on a summer classic. It gets bonus points because it has no bun which makes it both gluten free and low in sugar!
For the burger meat I have done both patties that I cook on the grill and ground beef on the skillet with some salt, pepper, and garlic. Both work great and I typically do whatever is easiest and most convenient at the time.
If you’re looking for a little crunch, tortilla chips are my favorite crouton substitute.
