Breakfast is easily my favorite meal of the day. What I have for breakfast makes or breaks my eating habits for the rest of the day and with so many mouth-watering healthy breakfast recipes to choose from, like these savory flax seed waffles, getting started on the right foot is deliciously easy!
Earlier I wrote about the amazing benefits of flax seeds (and what is all marketing hype). I personally buy this brand of ground flax seed and am really impressed by the high standards of their company.
If you’re in the market for a new blender, this is the one I use and highly recommend. It has lasted me just about 10 years, and gets used 5-6 days a week (sometimes twice a day), no exaggeration.
And if you’re looking for a waffle maker I bought this one a few months ago and am loving it!

Why I’m Okay with Heating Flax Seed
Leanne from Healthful Pursuit says it best,
I was able to find three separate studies that note the effects of heating flaxseed and it’s overall health benefits ( 1) ( 2 ) (3). All in all, I’m not concerned with using flaxseed in my homemade keto baking because I’m in control of its freshness, the temperatures that were used, and the duration. The same cannot be said for store-bought flax products… I’ll stick with homemade, thanks.
