Good morning and happy Friday! Since it’s Friday and my mind is already on the weekend I figured we could have some fun with today’s post! I want to share with you guys some things that I’m totally loving lately in today’s, first ever, Friday Favorites!
Evening Walks with Justin and Jett
Now that the nights are getting longer and the temperature is warming up, our evening walks are back! These walks are easily the high point of my day. I love talking with Justin about how our days went and watching Jett run around like a crazy man. What’s crazy is that I actually got him to sit still here.
Braggs Drinking Vinegar
Recently I’ve been incorporating Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar into my diet to help with nutrient/vitamin absorption. So you can image my excitement when I saw this lineup at the grocery store! They are about 10 carbs per bottle (except the honey flavor) and taste great!!
Grilling
Thank goodness for season change! One of the many things I love about New England. It’s right around this time that I am SOOOO done with soft crockpot veggies and SOOOO looking forward to grill food.
Miranda Lambert CD
I am a huge country music fan and absolutely love Miranda Lambert. I recently checked out one of her old albums at the library, Platinum. All of her songs are super fun to sing along to and I keep hitting repeat on ‘Little Red Wagon’.
Nourishing Book of Baby and Child Care Book
Although I am not pregnant, the importance of pre-planning is imperative for type 1 diabetics. Sally Fallons’s The Nourishing Traditions of Baby and Child Care book is packed with information about specific pre-pregnancy nutrition and care (not T1D related). I’m only a few chapters in and can’t get enough. This is the easily the most in-depth pregnancy book that I’ve read and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get pregnant.
Badger Lip Balm
Badger is a great local New Hampshire company who makes natural and organic body care products. As a last minute impulse buy, I picked up their lip balm last month while getting feed for the chickens. Not only is it a great lip balm, but it’s doubled as a moisturizer for my hands, and dewy highlighter to my cheek bones when I need to freshen up my face. Needless to say, when I went back to the feed store last Sunday I had to pick up another one. Get it here.
