Happy Friday everyone! Can you believe it’s already 4th of July weekend?! I hope your weekend is full of BBQ’s, shorelines, and lots of time with friends and family. The weather here in NH is looking pretty scary, so I’m hoping we’ll get some quality time outdoors before the bad weather rolls in. We might be watching a lot of movies this holiday weekend, which I’m totally down for too!
To kick off the weekend here are some things that have been making me smile this week.
The Couple Next Door
I picked this book up at the library after hearing some of my friends rave about it’s intensity and suspense. I had a very hard time putting it down, which lead me to finish it pretty quickly. This is a great summer read and I highly recommend it, especially to anyone who liked The Husband’s Secret and Gone Girl.
Anne and Marco Conti seem to have it all—a loving relationship, a wonderful home, and their beautiful baby, Cora. But one night when they are at a dinner party next door, a terrible crime is committed. Suspicion immediately focuses on the parents. But the truth is a much more complicated story. Inside the curtained house, an unsettling account of what actually happened unfolds. Detective Rasbach knows that the panicked couple is hiding something. Both Anne and Marco soon discover that the other is keeping secrets, secrets they’ve kept for years. What follows is the nerve-racking unraveling of a family—a chilling tale of deception, duplicity, and unfaithfulness that will keep you breathless until the final shocking twist.
I’ve been looking to add more cardio and intensity into my workouts and HIIT workouts are just that! I find that I push myself harder when I’m working out in a class or watching a fitness video on youtube, so the first thing I did when starting HIIT workouts was go to youtube. This couple puts out some awesome videos that I can never finish because they are such a challenge. You will love them!
Salt and Vinegar Chips with Coconut Oil
Finally! A chip company that doesn’t use vegetable oils or olive oil to fry/bake their chips in!! Hallelujah! And they taste incredible. Tho I would LOVE to see these without fructose in the ingredients, I am so happy that they swapped out vegetable oil for coconut oil.
They have a bunch of different potato chip & tortilla chip varieties too.
Other than a dab of concealer under the eyes most days I’m make-up free. That is, until I dug up my old makeup bag. This thing is pack with makeup, and half of it is probably expired, but I just can’t seem to throw it away. Every now and then I go through it and find an old gem that I use for a season then it goes back into the bag.
Right now I’m on a blush kick! With the lack of sun we’ve been having here in NH I’m really missing the sun kissed cheeks of summer. Which is probably why I’m lovin’ pretty hard on this blush right now. I got this from bare minerals in the shade tulip.
