Friday Favorites 62 Winter

Happy LOOOOOVE month (aka February) guys! I love the month of February because it’s one month closer to spring AND BONUS we get to celebrate both Valentine’s Day and Justin’s birthday! We aren’t crazy Valentine’s-day-celebrators (more power to you if you are); we don’t do cards or flowers or gifts, but we DO do heart shaped pancakes for breakfast with strawberry smoothies and make an extra special dinner followed by a homemade dessert and some couch cuddling.

So before I get lost in Pinterest and google searching for awesome Valentine’s Day dinner ideas let’s do some Friday Favorites!

At the start of every week I make a short list of things that make me smile; on Fridays I share that list with you!

I love hearing about the great things going on in your week, so let me know in the comments what has made you smile this week!

Friday Favorites

Jett Grooming

What is better than a freshly groomed dog?! When you have a dog that likes to be outside as much as Jett and when his hair is made of swiffer duster material then you will know the true joy of a freshly groomed Jett.

Nose Frida

Okay, this is equal parts gross and awesome! You wouldn’t believe the amount of boogers this thing can suck out. Miles is such a happy camper after a suction and for the most part loves the process. If you’re ready to barf I want to just say one more thing that will hopefully make it a little less gross for you… There is a filter so the boogers don’t go in your mouth and all the parts come apart for easy washing.

Mini Target Haul

Yesterday I went to Target for a mini clothing haul. And when I say mini… I mean mini! I only got three pieces of clothing which is INSANELY hard to do, especially when they pull out their new 2019 swimwear collection. Anyone else a sucker for bathing suits?!

I picked up a couple of layering tanks because all of mine got VERY stretched out during my pregnancy last year and while I was on my way to the register this distressed blue crewneck sweatshirt caught my eye.

Gallon Jug of Water

gallon jug

Ever since having Miles I have been HORRIBLE at hydrating, which is crazy because I have always been a water queen.

“They” say you should be drinking half an once to an ounce of water per pound of your body weight. So me being 150lb should be drinking 75-150oz water per day, which is about ½-1 gallons of water. Having this gallon jug with me at work is a great way to gauge how much I’m drinking and a big ‘ol reminder to drink drink drink!

Dairy Free Creamy Alfredo Sauce by Eats by Ames

Dairy Free Alfredo Sauce

I made this DF alfredo sauce the other night and it was DEEELISH! I tossed it with GF pasta, roasted brussel sprouts, and grilled chicken. MMMmmm MMMM! I added it to my recipe binder, which is a pretty big promotion in my kitchen.

That Alfredo sauce looks wonderful. My favorite thing this week was that we spent the entire week in NYC. We had a blast. It was all good.
