Happy Valentine’s Day weekend guys! Got any romantic plans with your lover, friend, or self? I am SO looking forward to the couples massage Justin and I are getting this weekend. It will be our first date since having Miles and while I am super excited to relax into a deep tissue massage I am also feeling a bit guilty for leaving him. I’m trying not to overthink it too much so let’s jump right into Friday Favorites, shall we?
I don’t know what’s more exciting… Christmas morning or getting my Thrive order.
Thrive is like if Whole Foods and Costco had a baby. We use thrive for all of our pantry items like ketchup, mayo, bars, chips, GF pasta, paper towels, etc. I place one big order every month and it’s so much easier (and cheaper) than buying at the grocery store.
All of their products (or at least most of them) are organic and they have TONS of gluten free, dairy free, and soy free products. You do have to pay an annual $60 membership, but with the money you save it’s worth it! I believe they even give you a free 30 day trial to see if you like it.
This made me laugh and I had to share. Can you relate?!
Jett makes me laugh on a daily basis, even when he’s sleeping. I mean. Come on. What is this? How comfortable does he look??!
I had my old crockpot for Y.E.A.R.S. Maybe 10+. And recently every time I cooked something in it, it got a weird taste to it. I posted this to my IG stories and a few of you said that the same thing had happened to you and it was because the stoneware was cracking and food particles were getting lodge inside and basically rotting. Yum.
I was so excited to get this in on Wednesday! I’m pretty basic when it comes to crockpots and only need the high, low, and warm settings. Ain’t no body got time for any of those other crazy features like timers and fancy cook settings. So if you’re like me when it comes to liking basic settings and are in the market for a crockpot then check this one out!
Fyre on Netflix
I know I might be late to the bandwagon on this one, but have you seen Fyre on Netflix? Justin and I have been chipping away at this documentary all week (since watching TV with a 7 month old who doesn’t get screen time is nearly impossible). But we finished it! And man! What an INSAAAAANE story.
To sum it up, this guy, Billy McFarland, partnered up with JaRule to host a crazy 3-day long music festival that was going to blow coachella out.of.the.water. They hired some of the most influential models and influencers like Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Baldwin to promote the festival to their fan base via instagram, promo videos, etc.. They had a crazy cool line up of performers, beautiful bungalows to stay in, and meals served by top chefs. However the whole thing was a fraud. When people showed up on this island they had no food, no water, no music performers, and their bungalows were actually FEMA tents (tents used for disaster recovery).
The full story is crazy, so if you have Netflix I highly recommend checking it out.
