Helloooooo… How are you?
Last Sunday was the second Patriots game of the season and I made THE BEST chicken nuggets that I have to share with you guys. And it got me to thinking… I should do a keto friendly football food round up. I know that not all of you are dairy free, so some of these snack have cheese, but if you are dairy free you can always sub it out. For the most part, these appetizers are gluten free, dairy free, soy free, paleo, and low carb! Don’t forget, you can always substitute with GF or DF options.
Enjoy!
Keto Friendly Football Food Round Up!
The Best Chicken Nuggets from The Toasted Pinenut

Okay, first on the list is the DELICIOUS chicken nuggets I made last Sunday. I have also made these with haddock and they are amazing. I omit the Parmesan cheese and replace it with almond flour.
Buffalo Cauliflower Wings from Gimme Delicious

I like to pair these with some dairy free ranch dressing or my homemade ranch dressing!
Bacon Wrapped Pickles from Delish

I sub my dairy free cream cheese (get the recipe here) for these babies and omit the shredded cheese.
Keto Pigs In A Blanket by Keto Connect

How cute are these little piggies?! Pigs in a blanket were one of my favorite snacks as a kid. I loved hearing the POP of the Pillsbury can bursting open; anyone else?! So I was super bummed when I went gluten free and thought these were off limits. But Pinterest saved the day (yet again) when they put this GF recipe by Keto Connect in my feed. I can’t wait to try these out for the next football game.
Paleo Baked Blooming Onion by Wicked Spatula

Onions are my kryptonite and this GF blooming onion looks like it will soon be a football snack staple in the Martin household. Is anyone else drooling right now?!
Bacon Chips with Guacamole by Buzz Feed

Sometimes the simplest things are the most delicious. I never would have thought to sub out tortilla chips for bacon chips when serving guacamole. Talk about healthy fats galore. This is an all time favorite of ours.
Cucumber Dill Rotisserie Chicken by Peanut Butter Fingers

This recipe gives a refreshing twist to your classic chicken salad. I like to serve mine on cucumber slices or with tortilla chips (or bacon chips!). I replace the yogurt with my homemade mayo, although my grocery store just started carrying the So Delicious coconut milk yogurt so I may have to try that in this recipe next time.
Fried Avocados by Primally Inspired

I haven’t made these bites yet, but how amazing do they look? I’ve had bacon avocado bites before so when I saw these I knew I had to add these to my ‘try-em’ list!
Bacon Deviled Eggs by Paleo Running Momma

You can’t go wrong with deviled eggs. They are always the first snack to disappear at any party. They are my go-to snack and are so easy to dress up. Add bacon, chives, sriracha, everything bagel toppings, guacamole filling, you name it! The sky is the limit when it comes to deviled egg combinations.

OMG BACON WRAPPED PICKLES!!!! I know what I’m making this weekend.
I hope they turned out great!!
Do you have any pre-packaged healthy/low carb snacks or meals you recommend? The less time involved the more likely I do it. P.s. I love your blog! Thanks for sharing!
Hi! Nuts, seeds, pickles, and olives are some of my favorite low carb pre-packaged snacks. Beef jerky bites, kale chips, and pork rinds are also really great! If you like seaweed, SeaSnax makes a good snack – personally not my thing, but lots of my friends love them. I haven’t found any pre-packaged low carb meals, but sometimes grocery stores will carry pre-made salads; that would be a great option!
That is so great for a keto!
