long time no talk friend! I honestly thought i wasn't coming back to this space. After having baby #2 i realized how little time i had to do anything other than eat and sleep 😂😅
dinners got real simple.
homeschool got real simple.
play got real simple.
movement got real simple.
health got real simple.
what i learned in this postpartum time was that i actually really like when things are super simple.
in a culture that chases busy-ness, i wanted a slow down.
so i simplified my recipes
i simplified homeschool
i simplified our toys
i simplified my movement
i simplified my health routine
this slow down of life gave me the MUCH NEEDED breathe that i was trying to catch up on - i honestly didn't even know how badly i needed it until i got it 😅
... i toyed with the idea of not coming back here.
social media and blogging takes a lot of time - precious time that i wanted to dedicate elsewhere.
Plus, with diabetes tech doing all the work now, I honestly wondered if T1D tips were even needed.
i thought no.
So i wrote a goodbye post (using the photo in this post). I posted it on Instagram.
And then I took it down seconds later. 🙈
why? because in those few seconds when that post was live i thought:
Some of us (🙋♀️) don’t want to hand our diabetes to an algorithm… so are we supposed to just get left behind? Even when we do use AI, it can’t replace humans. We still need real connection.
so here i am 😁 i'm back!
what you can expect from me now:
• lots more day in the life posts (I’m taking it back to circa 2006 blogging 😜🤘)
• recipes 🤤 because…duh.
I’m really happy to be back. 💛
