Why did I wait 15 years to do this… seriously? 😅 This one small change just made traveling with T1D so much easier.

Something I’m weirdly excited about? I finally got a travel bag for my diabetes supplies.
It only took… 15 years. 😅
I was given one from Sugar Medical, and I was so excited to start using it. We do a lot of long-weekend travels and up until now, I’ve just thrown my supplies into some random pocket of my duffel bag and hoped for the best.
Which works… until it doesn’t.
There’s nothing worse than digging through a bag trying to find what you need, especially when you actually need it now.
What I love about this bag is how much it fits. I was able to pack MORE than enough supplies, and if you know me, I pack backups for my backups. CGMs, pump supplies, insulin, extras of everything.
It all fits without feeling like i'm going to bust a zipper!
I even pack my low snacks in here, which honestly, to me, are just as important as insulin and sensors.
If I’m traveling, I want everything in one place, easy to grab, no thinking required.
The best part? I can keep this thing fully stocked (sans insulin).
Diabetes supplies don’t expire quickly, so once it’s packed, it stays packed. When we get home from a trip, the only thing I have to do is toss my insulin back in the fridge; everything else stays exactly where it is.
No more unpacking.
No more repacking.
No more forgetting something important.
Just grab it and go.
Sugar Medical always makes amazing bags, so the fact that I love this bag is no surprise. What I love to share with people is that the founder herself has type 1 diabetes, so she totally gets it. They did gift me this bag, and I'm so glad they did because now I can review it and share it with you.
I have been field testing this bag for the past few weeks. I've used it for our weekend snowmobile & ice fishing trips in Maine and Vermont and it has saved me so much time and mental space.
I also have a code for you if you’ve been needing something like this. You can use T1DLiving for 10% off anything on their site SugarMedical.com.
No pressure at all… just passing along something that’s genuinely making traveling with T1D, even if it's just long weekend trips, so much easier 💛

i like the idea of keeping it packed! i never thought about that because i 100% agree that unpacking and repacking every time is a pain. unpacking especially…i loath it LOL

Ha! Your email for this came at the perfect time. I’m going on a weekend trip next weekend and i am already dreading the unpacking of diabetes supplies LOL. That bag is such a pretty color BTW! Would make a great carry on bag for the plane.
