Something about 2026 already feels different... and I think it’s because people are craving real again.

❌ Less AI.
❌ Less perfectly curated feeds.
❌ Less screen time.

✅ More human connection.
✅ More authenticity.
✅ More hands-on living.

You can see this shift everywhere:

  • more food being made from scratch
  • more life happening outdoors
  • thrifted & vintage over fast & new
  • questioning tech instead of blindly adopting it (yes AI and EMFs i'm talking about you)
  • grandma hobbies having a full-on renaissance

A lot of us are craving slower, simpler, and more authentic — and honestly? I’m here for it.

2026 feels like a slow return to what matters most.

That shift is shaping what’s coming next on the blog:

• More real food recipes
• Moving life outdoors
• An updated EMF readings post — I get asked about this one constantly, and I’m excited to refresh it with current devices and clearer info.
An updated "diabetes kids’ book recommendations" — some really great finds worth adding to your shelves.

🧠💡I heard a question recently that stopped me in my tracks:

What are the three most important things in your life?
If someone watched your day, would they be able to tell?

If the answer is no, it’s probably time to realign and let what matters shape your days.

Be well, my friend 💛
Talk to you next week.

What a gem to have stumbled upon your website looking for info about emf exposure from the Libre 3! I am a grandmother to 8 now after raising 5 daughters. I must say thank you for sharing your D1 life and all you have learned along the way. It’s a wonderful way to help others. I don’t have diabetes, sadly my husband did so I’m familiar with so much of your content having wanted to help him find natural ways to keep the boluses to a minimum!! I do have Hashimotos however, and a functional medicine doctor I am seeing has recommended this glucose monitoring as a way to understand how insulin is functioning in my body. I am just getting started on this program but I am already excited about trying some of your recipes!

i feel this 100%. Funny about the “curated content/feeds” i actually started to get the ICK when i see accounts with big followings.Anything over 10k makes me rethink if i even want to follow them.
