Hello and welcome to another post of Life as a T1D Blogger, where I share a behind the scenes peek of my life as a T1D Blogger.

And pictures of my cuddly doodle who loves a job to do – so I let him carry around my diabetes supplies and follow me around the house.

Life As A T1D Blogger #13

Happy Friday!! Todays post is going to give you a little techy/marketing/planning peek of what I’ve been working on for the blog.

Blogs are not always food shots and writing on a laptop by the lake (although a good amount of it is) 😎 Sometimes blogs are spreadsheets and planning, and THAT’S the side I’m sharing with you today!

Today I’m finishing my Q4 content calendar.

I like to plan out my posts a quarter in advance. But even though I’m planning out 3 months in advance, I ALWAYS leave some wiggle room for reader inspired posts or for T1D trends or culturally relevant T1D news.

Coming up this month you can expect to see:

  • Back to School T1D Favorites
  • Red Raspberry Leaf Tea for Female T1D Health
  • How to Silence a Screaming Omnipod
  • Burger Salad Recipe
  • Life as a T1D Blogger posts every Friday, per usual

💬 Let me know in the comments which one you’re looking forward to the most!

Course Update

Today I am also recording the intro to the Beyond Insulin T1D course. And if I have time… the first module of the course as well.

The hubs and kiddo are out fishing & riding bikes so I’ll have the house all to myself for TWO WHOLE HOURS 🙌 so we’ll see how much I can get done!

Usually I spend the first 30 minutes running around trying to figure out what I’m going to do first 😂😂 anyone else?

The next time I’ll be able to record is next week, and hopefully I can wrap up the entire first module. It’s the biggest module in the entire course and goes over everything from bolusing, to testing your foundational, to exercising, planning for the “oops” moments, and more.

It is a dense one my friends. It’s packed with so much information. This one module could be the entire course. But don’t worry, it’s not. I have FOUR more modules after that, totaling FIVE 😅

It’s been a lot of work, and I am so excited to be so close to publishing it for you!

CGM Screenshot

I was going to wrap this post up, but then was like, hmmm I should do a screenshot of my CGM too. So of course I had to turn my phone on silent mode so my co-workers didn’t hear the camera shutter sound and think I was snapping pictures of them (or doing weird things at my desk) 📷😅

That little spike you see at 6AM was just from me waking up. No joke, my feet hit the floor and BAM 💥 #dawnphenomenon. So I gave a correction dose and am at 115 mg/dL with 0.5 units on board.

Oh! and before you go, if you missed this weeks earlier post, How to Pull Insulin Out of an Omnipod, and are on am omnipod, then you have to check it out!

Alright! I gotta get back to work. Talk to you next week!

Even though I’m a grown @$$ woman, I have to say that I am the most excited for your back to school T1D favs post. There’s something about September-eve, new school supplies, and new clothes, that’s so incredibly nostalgic.
